How do I start tracking my trading performance?

Start by creating your first trading account in the Accounts section. Then use the Calendar to record your daily P&L entries. Your performance metrics will automatically appear on the Dashboard.

What's the difference between local and cloud storage?

Local storage keeps your data in your browser (private, fast, offline-capable but device-specific). Cloud storage syncs across devices but requires an access token and internet connection.

How do I switch between storage providers?

Go to Settings → Storage Provider, select your preferred option, and use 'Switch + Migrate' to move your data safely between providers.

What is Essential vs Advanced view mode?

Essential view shows only the most important metrics for daily trading. Advanced view displays detailed statistics, risk metrics, and all available features for comprehensive analysis.

How are my trading metrics calculated?

All metrics are calculated from your daily P&L entries. Win rate = profitable days / total days. Sharpe ratio considers risk-adjusted returns. Drawdown tracks declines from equity peaks.

Can I track multiple prop firm accounts?

Yes! TraDiary supports unlimited accounts. Create separate accounts for each prop firm, challenge, or live account. Switch between them easily and track overall performance.

What should I do if my data isn't syncing?

Check your cloud access token in Settings. Ensure you're using the same token on all devices. If issues persist, try regenerating your token or temporarily switch to local storage.

How do I backup my trading data?

Use the migration tools in Settings to backup between storage providers. You can also export your data before making major changes or browser updates.
